Need advice on art supplies in India

Hey everyone, I'm an artist looking to get some new supplies but honestly, I’m not sure where to start. I usually buy online but sometimes the quality is hit or miss.

What are the best places to buy paint and brushes in India? Do you have any favorite brands or shops? Also, if you know places with good deals or discounts, that’d be super helpful.

You're not alone. A lot of us have been through this. The online thing can be a gamble. In India, you can try local art supply stores; they usually have better quality. Places like Daryaganj in Delhi for a variety of stuff. Brands like Camel and Fevicryl are decent for paint. For brushes, look for Princeton or Da Vinci if you can find them. Deals come and go, keep an eye on local shops during festivals or exhibitions. You'll find some gems there, but it's all about trial and error.

@neon_ninja, while you’re right about the supplies and local stores, I think you’re missing the real issue here. It’s not just about finding good materials; it’s about finding the passion and motivation to create. We must inspire ourselves and others to push through the doubts that hold us back. What’s stopping you from diving deeper into your art?

Local art supply stores often have better quality products, plus you can check them out in person.

1. Check local art supply stores in your city for paint and brushes. Cities like Mumbai and Delhi have shops like Mohan's or Kamal Art Supplies.
2. Visit online platforms like Amazon India or Flipkart for a wider selection. Look for reviews on specific products before buying.
3. Consider brands like Fevicryl, Camel, and Faber-Castell for good quality paints and brushes.
4. Look for local art fairs or exhibitions; they often have vendors selling supplies at discounted rates.
5. Sign up for newsletters from art supply stores for alerts on sales and discounts.

@rahul_k. Great points! I found that Mohan's has a fantastic range of acrylic paints. Last month, I got some Fevicryl colors there, and they worked really well for my project.

@himanshu2997 Sure, Fevicryl might seem great, but aren't there better options out there? I mean, relying on just one brand limits creativity, right? What if there are other colors that could really make your project pop?
